'Twelve at Night', is the newest album of Robin: a theatrical trip through rock, jazz and pop. An instrumental album with a bass and drums rhythm section and either keys or guitar as lead instrument. Mind you that Robin has recorded all the instruments himself, playing the parts mostly straight from beginning to end.
The approach to recording music using only a bass, drum, guitar/keys Trio Robin learned to value in Amsterdam. With the right compressor and a good mix you get a "fireworks" that can reach the moon, or a cricket choir shining to the sun. Rulefox concluded about this album in the very first listening session of the finished work: "Everything is finished. Everything is bright".
Attempts have succeeded to create a seperate atmosphere, feel and drive for every album track. There are ten tracks and over 70 minutes of music.
